Kay, here’s the good stuff, I wanted to give it a whole new post, cos it’s so damn exciting! I don’t want it tarnished by all that pent up bitterness I didn’t realise I had (ok, so maybe I had a little inkling lol)

My best friend is coming to visit, woohoo!!

So exciting, will be so good to see her, I miss her and her two kids heaps since I left my home town. Unfortunately she has to leave the kids at home this trip, but I can’t wait to have an awesome girls weekend! Should be so much fun
This is what I have planned :

On Friday I’ll take her to the best damn coffee place in my city (also happens to be right next door to my building), then find somewhere nice (read: cheap) to have dinner, and then *maybe* see a movie, huge maybe seeing as everything out at the mo SUCKS. Then on Saturday we’ll chill out, have a wander round, see some shops.

Then (this is the best bit) I’m taking her to see Swan Lake on Ice, how cool will that be?!? It better be damn cool, cos the tickets are my birthday present from my parents! (Save the best wishes, birthday is at the end of the month, there you go, heaps of notice, go buy me presents!! haha j/k of course). So yeah, the Ice thing is a total surprise, I’m not telling her till she gets here, I hope she likes it. It’s the matinee performance so we’ll be done by 5, so I’m thinking wine/pizza/DVDs, girls night in type thing for the evening.

Then on Sunday I’m thinking maybe the best place in town for brunch, but I’m not sure how we’ll get on there cos she has this allergy to eggs, and every brunch has eggs pretty much! But I’m hoping for nice weather anyways, so we can go for a drive somewhere, or head to the waterfront for a harbour cruise and the yummiest gellato ever (ok, so it’s the ONLY gellato I ever had, but I still think it’s the best!).

So what do u reckon? If you were my best friend and this was your weekend, would you be stoked?

I’m mostly excited about surprising her with Swan Lake, I’m the most un cultured person ever, but I love watching the winter olympics skating, and she wants her girl to do ballet, so I’m figuring it will be a cool afternoon for us both.

so, yay, I can’t wait to see her and hang out and stuff!!
