So I’m back at school (managed to get Wednesdays off, so no school tomoro). I bought like 2 reams worth of paper, printed on both sides, that I gotta read over the next 12 weeks. Cost an arm too, still gotta buy two text books, so there goes the leg as well.

This one lecturer is like FULL ON, she’s weird, the words ‘psychotic cow’ come to mind when you think of her. So I went to the first class yesterday, and she was like ‘fill in these details’. So i’m filling them in:

name, id, address, phone, numbers… *yep, I can do that*….

then papers you’ve already taken… *ok, this is a lil weird, and I have taken like 30 so far, I’m not gonna list them ALL*

….. are you part time/full time….. *FT*

….. are you planning to work while taking this paper ….. *yea, but what’s it to you?!*

….. how many hours per week will you be working….. *WTF? Are you kidding me??? How the f*ck is that even remotely related to a crummy first year (freshmen?) 18th and 19th century history paper?????*

So yea, REALLY unimpressed at this interrogation, for a f*cking first year BS paper I’m only taking for the points. They also wanted to know my high school!! That one REALLY pissed me off, cos I hated EVERY single minute of high school, every single f*ucking minute of it, I REALLY don’t want to have to be reminded 6 years later of the hell I went through there, and how f*cked up I was for the years that followed. The name of my high school doesn’t define who I am, or in any way provide information about my past, except that it’s obvious I spent some years in a single sex school.

You know what I really hate about the whole high school thing? When people ask me what high school I went to, and when I say ‘OH! Did you know Prissy Bitch? no? what about Snotty Cow? still no…. um… what about blah blah blah….’

Even if I did know these people, I really don’t want to have to think of them! I keep in touch with ONE person from high school, and that’s not exactly by choice, she can be a pain in the ass sometimes.

Kay, glad we got that cleared up, I’m still bitter about those hideous years.

I digressed, slightly. Back to the pyscho cow.

So I’m like ‘yea, so not answering your questions’. They had absolute ZERO relevance to the course content, in fact there would be negative relevance if that was possible.

And then she’s like ‘and when you email me, you will address me by my FULL name, not "hey" or "hi" and I will be answering emails during my office HOUR only’

There are 190 people in the class, and she is devoting ONE set hour a week to reply? That’s fucking BS, if I send an email, I expect a 24 hour turn around, AT the most.

So yea, I got all pissy about it, and complained to the Education Officers at the student union. They agreed with me (ha! take that) and were going to email her and forward her reply, haven’t seen it yet though.

There was no need to ask all those stupid questions, it was like she was surveying us for some other purpose. There was NO explanation as to what the information would be used for, who would have access to it, and what would happen to it at the end of the course. I.e there should have been a privacy statement. And that’s even if she has the RIGHT to ask those sorts of questions, which I (obviously!) don’t think she has. Whether I work outside of my university course is none of ANYONE’s business!!! BTW I have two part time jobs, totalling about 20-30 hours a week, on top of the 50 hours a week I will need to do for my course to keep the GPA I need for Honours. And I’m happy to tell you that, no problem. But if you ask me in a righteous, interrogative way that makes me feel like my privacy is invaded? that’s so NOT cool.

So yea, soon as I get the reply, I’ll let you know!

Now onto much more exciting things….
