Grey’s, for your weekly crying session
EVERY week I cry while watching GA. EVERY DAMN WEEK!! This week it wasn’t even the regular characters that made me cry, it was the damn patient storyline. I think it’s good to have a nice cry over a fictional TV show though. It’s better than getting horribly depressed about ones own life and crying over that. Speaking of my own life, things are going well, I’ve finally convinced the people who dish out the unemployment benefit that I can study part time AND still be available for full time work. So I’m gonna be doing honours part time…. I just can’t imagine my life without studying. For someone who took soooooooooo long to get their degree, I sure haven’t slacked off in the quantity of study (only the quality!). for 6 out of the last 7 years I’ve studied in some capacity. Usually at over-capacity, full time study PLUS part time study, PLUS 1 or more part time jobs!! This year will be different in that it’s full time work and part time study, which is so much less stressful than the other way round. Bring on the salary!!
I have to say though that one of the biggest events in my calender each year is the momentous day when you log on to the internet banking and find you have $1000 sitting there just begging to be spent. We can borrow that much each year for extra costs, like text books. Which of course I buy, but seriously, $1000 worth? no way! There’s always that new cellphone, or pair of awesome shoes you’ve been waiting for the last three months to buy. This year? My dream computer is on the shopping list, I’m finally getting a laptop!! Which means that I can be an even more hard out gamer than I already am. No more alt-tabbing out for me! I can just avert my gaze to the right slightly and check it out on the laptop instead. PLUS I can use it anywhere in the house, no wire required. I’m so excited!!
In other less exciting aspects of my life, I joined the gym today. Both my flatmates are personal trainers, and I got a free month trial from them, today was the last day I could redeem it, so off I went, filled out the forms, agreed to sign my life away at a rate of $22.50 a week for the next year after the free month was up (although I can cancel anytime in the next month if I want, so if I only go like twice, then clearly I will do just that!). I was quite excited that all the cardio equipment faces over a balcony thing, and into an atrium kinda area where they have all the big classes. I would much rather watch other people suffer than see myself suffering in the floor to ceiling mirrors that are on every piece of available wall space!
Anyways, I’ll keep you posted on how that all goes, if it goes at all!

New computers are the bestest!
