So…. lets start with the boring stuff. I’m so over work. Hence I’m not working today! Actually I have a small cold And it was pissing down with rain and the car is broken, so I didn’t wanna walk to the train station and get super wet and then sicker. Although my house is so damn cold it might have been better that way!! I’m sooo busy at work, but doing what? Everything is so reactive I’m not actually getting a chance to do the work I’ve been employed to do…. but they do look after me, I have a day off a week, paid, to study at the moment. They are paying for new lenses in my glasses. I’m getting a temporary pay rise cos I’m kinda doing two people’s jobs at the moment. But once the end of the school year hits (November here), I’m looking for a new job! I actually came across a really unique graduate opportunity that is not being advertised, so I’m gonna put my name down for that, even though it is a bit soon to be looking for new stuff. At the presentation, all the full timers at school (living on $150 a week they have to pay back over the next 20 years) dropped their jaws when they heard the salary. Mine did too. For a different reason though, I’d be taking a pay cut!! But so worth it in the long run. I have about 10 weeks to write 16,000 words to get through my first part time honours year :/ not sure how I will do that. 1600 words a week is manageable. I think I just have to keep on top of it! Starting today, better use my sick day for something useful. Didn’t get any study done yesterday thanks to my stupid car. Clutch cable broke on me. Had to call the AA (like AAA, not my alcoholic buddies ) and get a tow to the auto repair place. They *might* look at it today, but probably monday. Oh well. Shit happens. I’ve had the car for 3 years, but in my name only for 2 weeks (was gifted to me for my 25th birthday by parents) and this happens!! Had to sort it out yesterday, and then have blood tests cos I’m suffering from really bad fatigue at the moment. Omg, the nurse that did it was soooo nervous. I have hard to find veins (would make a useless junkie!) and I always ask to lie down cos I do pass out from time to time. She tried one arm and didn’t get it, so did the other one. She was sooooo slow the second time, cos she wanted to get it right! I almost said ‘you wouldn’t be the first to get a more experienced nurse to do it’ but I didn’t want to make her even more determined but nervous!! Got there in the end and without passing out, despite the extra long drawn out trauma of it all. Lets hope the results show something. I want an explanation for the fatigue, but I don’t want anything to be wrong either! :S
