Just thinking out loud

Just wanted to note down a few of the things I’d like to do with my newfound time:
- A jigsaw puzzle. I noticed my mum had a few last time I was there, one still in it’s plastic (for ease of travelling!) so I must remember to sneak one into my bag when I down there next weekend.
- Make cocktails. This mail order catalogue has mojito and margarita mixes to make your own cocktails, and we have a nice sunny deck on which to enjoy them at the new place (we’re heading into summer here).
- Blog more! And also look into setting up a decent blog space, with a design more suited to my personality.
- Spend more time at the library (starting with paying my fines). Now is a good time to try out a few new authors, suggestions welcome.
- Go to the fruit and vege market every sunday. One of my flatmates and I have similar tastes in food, and we’re both good cooks, so we will cook together most of the time probably, she will definitely encourage the weekly market visits.
- Go swimming. At least once a week. I love swimming, I went twice this time last year and wondered why the heck I’d waited so long to try it out again. Now another year has passed by…
- Explore more of the bush walks in the central part of the city. Our house is particularly well placed for this, plenty of good walks nearby.
- Have a really festive christmas! By this I mean not just rush off a couple of christmas cards and show up at mum’s on christmas eve. I want a christmas tree of my own, a real one! I really want to get into the spirit of it, like when I was little, I’ll be taking a leaf out of your book, because I love the way in which you celebrate every holiday.
- Do more arty/crafty things again, again my flatmate is into similar things. I think our first project is making wedding invites for her cousin. I feel some homemade christmas decorations coming on too, I’ve got a whole tree to decorate!
- Organise all my files on the computer. I have a brand new HUGE HDD, and have practically ignored it’s existence thus far, time to organise and rearrange and get everything in the one place. When I was looking for my last essay I found 3 copies that only had 2500 words, I was sure I’d written 3600! Sure enough, I had, I found it eventually.
